VIRTUAL HEALING

VIRTUAL HEALING was a solo exhibition at University of Dayton's Radial Gallery during Fall 2019.

Alternative healing and magical practices have enjoyed a resurgence online, with astrology apps like Co-Star or Pattern, or websites like Hoodwitch enjoying viral popularity and comfort in an increasingly unstable time. VIRTUAL HEALING is a body of work that considers how the web and new media technologies have the capability to both harm and heal, while ultimately offering a healing experience mediated by these devices.
In this exhibition, the viewer encounters video protection spells, 3D printed and virtual healing crystals, a virtual reality healing experience encircled by an ethernet magic circle sculpture.
